App Control: Opening endpoint object on Events page results in error of "No corresponding computer was found in the database. This computer may have been deleted"

Environment

  • App Control server: 8.1.10 and older

Symptoms

The below items are observed in the console:

When opening the endpoint object in the "Events" page in the App Control console, an error message is received of "No corresponding computer was found in the database. This computer may have been deleted"
When opening the endpoint object in the "Assets" > "Computers" page in the App Control console, the endpoint details are presented as expected

Cause

There is a known bug in App Control server versions from 8.1.10 and earlier. 

Resolution

This bug has been fixed in App Control server version 8.5.0+
