What characters are allowed to be used in email addresses?

Answer

Currently the following characters are supported:

Recipient:
  • Uppercase and lowercase letters in English (A-Z, a-z)
  • Digits from 0 to 9
  • Special characters including a hyphen (-), underscore (_), period (.) and the percent symbol (%)
Domain:
  • Uppercase and lowercase letters in English (A-Z, a-z)
  • Digits from 0 to 9
  • Special characters including a hyphen (-)
Extension:
  • Uppercase and lowercase letters in English (A-Z, a-z)
  • Digits from 0 to 9
  • Special characters including a hyphen (-)
