CB Defense: How to Find the Org that a Sensor is Registered to

Environment

• CB Defense Web Console: All Versions
• CB Defense Sensor: All Versions

Objective

To find the Org that a sensor is registered to and communicating with by means of matching the Org ID

Resolution

1. Locate the Org ID in the multiple Orgs that may be in use:
   1. Log into the CB Defense Web Console.
   2. Navigate to Settings > Connectors
   3. Make a note of the Org ID shown at the top of the page.
   4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each Org in question.
2. Match the Org ID from the machine:
   1. Navigate to the path:

      C:\Program Files\Confer\cfg.ini

   2. Open cfg.ini using a text editor.
   3. Match the first four digits of the RegistrationId from the cfg.ini file with the Org ID form the CB Defense Web Console to determine which Org the sensor is registered with.

Additional Notes

Please do not make changes to the cfg.ini file unless instructed to by Carbon Black.
