Environment

  • App Control Server: All Versions
  • App Control Agent: All Versions

Objective

How to enable tracking, and blocking of Java files

Resolution

  1. Within the console navigate to Rules > Software Rules
  2. Click into the Scripts Tab
  3. Edit the Java rule
  4. Check or Uncheck the "Rescan Computers" option 
    • If you're unsure if you want this checked or unchecked, hover over the information symbol for additional information. 
  5. Enable and save the rule

Additional Notes

Enabling the Rescan Computers option will cause a Cache Check on all devices, and will Approve all scripts meeting the file type.
