CB Protection: What is the origin of the Date and Time stamp in a software approval requests email?

Environment

  • CB Protection: All versions

Question

What mechanism provides the Date and Time stamp for software approval requests/emails?

Answer

Software approval request email Date and Time stamps are generated from the database external events as UTC format.

Additional Notes

  • Software approval requests reflect UTC time on the endpoint the request was generated from.
  • Unlike event times shown in the console, timestamps for external events are shown as UTC time.
  • If the CB Protection server is using a time format other than UTC the server and request times will not match.
