CB Response: How to Create a CB Protection Integration User

Environment

  • CB Response Server: All Versions
  • CB Response Console

Objective

To create a user that has permissions to integrate CB Response with CB Protection

Resolution

  1. Log into the CB Response Console
  2. Navigate to the User Management page by clicking "Users" in the left navigation menu.
  3. Add a new user by clicking "Add User" in the top-right corner.
    1. In the Username field enter a descriptive username, such as "CB Protection Integration".
    2. Enter a First Name and Last Name.
    3. Provide an email account for the new user.
    4. Enter and confirm a password.
    5. In the "Assign to" panel, select the Administrators check box to assign this user to the Administrators team.
    6. Select the Global Administrator check box.
    7. Click the "Save Changes" button.
  4. Confirm that the new, "CB Protection Integration" user exists on the User Management page.

Additional Notes

The email account being entered on step 3-3 can be fictitious, since it is not used as a normal account.
