Carbon Black Cloud: BSOD on Windows Skype servers during reboot loop.

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Windows Sensor: 3.7.0.1503 to 3.8.0.398
  • Windows OS: Server 2019
  • Skype for Business Server

Symptoms

Server will BSOD and crash in a reboot loop if running Windows Server 2019 and sensor 3.7.0.1503 through 3.8.0.398

Cause

Performance defect in the Carbon Black Cloud sensor version that required code change.

Resolution

Issue is resolved in 3.8.0.535 Windows Sensor. Upgrade affected endpoints to prevent the BSOD.
