Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All Supported Versions
  • Linux: All Supported Versions
  • Mac: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

From Process Analysis Page, tried to access Binary Details on Mac and Linux Devices
Message displayed on Web Page

Cause

 
  • Currently, only the Carbon Black Cloud sensor for Windows supports Unified Binary Store (UBS).
  • Carbon Black Cloud sensors for MacOS and Linux do not support Unified Binary Store (UBS) binary upload and UBS metadata capture.
  • For processes and binaries coming from these platforms, the Binary Details page displays all fields as Unknown.
