Environment

Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 2.9.0
Linux OS: RHEL/CentOS/Oracle 6.0

Symptoms

Linux sensor fails to install or upgrade to 2.9.0

Install/upgrade log shows:

error: Failed dependencies:
libuuid.so.1(UUID_2.20)(64bit) is needed by cb-psc-sensor-2.9.0-302795.el6.x86_64
Failed: agent installation failed.

Cause

Required dependency missing in 6.0 OS.

Resolution

We recommend those on these operating system versions do not upgrade to 2.9.0.
