Database timeout when using Global State filter on Files On Computer view

Database timeout when using Global State filter on Files On Computer view

Version

7.x

Issue

Receiving a database timeout when using Global State filter on Files On Computer view.

Symptoms

Receiving a database timeout when using Global State filter on Files On Computer view.

Cause

Currently a known issue on 7.x.

Solution

The fix is targeted for version 8, but there’s no estimated release date yet.

As a work around, please use the File State filter instead. Both filters are very similar.

For example:

File State -- Global State

approved = approved

banned = banned

unapproved = unapproved

approved by policy = mixed

banned by policy = mixed

If publisher is empty, file state and global state are the same (ie. banned, authorized, etc.)

If file state is unapproved, then it defers to the global state.
