EDR: Generating MD5 on Files Larger than 2GB can Cause cbdaemon to Crash

Environment

  • EDR Sensor: 7.0.2
  • Linux: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

Linux Server is creating cbdeamon.core dump files

Cause

cbdaemon is using a library that is not returning the correct file size

Resolution

This issue is resolved in EDR Sensor 7.1.1 and above
