EDR: Linux sensors no longer check in after license has expired past 30 days

EDR: Linux sensors no longer check in after license has expired past 30 days

Environment

  • EDR Server: All Versions (Formerly CB Response)
  • EDR Linux Sensor: 7.0 and Below
  • Linux OS: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

Linux sensors report online, but are unable to send any data to the EDR server because they are reporting "out of license" health score errors

Cause

A known defect prevents the sensor from checking the license state - CB-31080

Resolution

  • This is fixed in sensor version 7.0.1
  • As a workaround for older sensors, restart the sensor service on the Linux endpoint.
