Environment

  • EDR Servers:  7.8.0 and higher
  • RHEL/CentOS:  8.2, 8.6, 8.7, 8.8

Question

Which RHEL/CentOS versions support EDR FIPS mode?

Answer

According to the EDR 7.8.0 Cluster Management Guide, "Carbon Black EDR can be installed and run on a FIPS-enabled RHEL 8.2, 8.6, 8.7, or 8.8 server."

Additional Notes

  • EDR 7.9.0 is expected to include EDR FIPS mode on RHEL/CentOS 8.9 in late 2024.
