Endpoint Standard: Is it Possible to Cancel a Malware Removal Request?

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud (Formerly PSC) Backend: All Versions
• Endpoint Standard (Formerly PSC) Sensor: 3.2.x and Higher

Question

Can a malware removal request be canceled? 

Answer

• No, a malware removal request cannot be cancelled
• If the file hash is company approved, the malware removal option will not delete the file for any machines which had not yet received the removal request

If an option to cancel an accidental malware removal request should be added to the Carbon Black Cloud console in future, please share this feedback through Voice of the Customer.
