Endpoint Standard Sensor: Approval via Cert Whitelisting is not effective on macOS

Environment

  • Endpoint Standard Sensor: 3.4.2.23
  • Apple macOS: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

  • Process approved via cert whitelist is not allowed to run the first time it is executed
  • Any subsequent execution of the approved process is allowed to run

Cause

  • This is due to latency in certificate approval causing trusted software installs/updates to fail
  • Issue is tracked internally as DSEN-8243

Resolution

This issue is fixed in sensor version 3.4.3.44
