Endpoint Standard: Unable to add .mst file under Modifications while setting GPO package for sensor deployment

Environment

  • Endpoint Standard: All Versions
  • Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
  • Group Policy Object Editor

Symptoms

Unable to add .mst file under Modifications while setting GPO package for sensor deployment

Cause

Selecting deployment method as "Published" or "Assigned" while adding the adding the package disables "Add" button in the "Modifications" tab

Resolution

  1. Right-click in the group policy object editor to select New->Package
  2. Make sure the radio-button selected for deployment method is "Advanced" and not Published or Assigned. Published or Assigned radio buttons, won't allow necessary modifications.
