Question

How do I use the Kingston DTE Privacy device?

Answer

This encrypted USB device contains its own software, which is mounted as a separate device mimicking a CD. There are two ways to approve it for use on your network:

- If there have been no blocks on the device yet, and you are using a trusted directory for approvals, copy the contents of the CD drive that gets mounted by the device into the trusted directory.

- If the device has appeared on a machine running Parity, you can manually approve the installer in the Parity UI. Look for DTE_Privacy_Launcher.exe. Approve this file AND mark it as an installer.
