How to determine the Carbon Black sensor version from command line on the various operating systems.

Steps

For Sensors installed on Windows, run

%WINDIR%\CarbonBlack\cb.exe -v

Example of output:

2014-12-03 20:53:59: 4.1.5.40410

2014-12-03 20:53:59: x64 (64 bit)

2014-12-03 20:53:59: Release Build

For Sensors installed on OSX, run:

/Applications/CarbonBlack/CbOsxSensorService -v

Example of output:

4.2.1.41021

For Sensors installed on Linux, run

cbdaemon -v

Example of output:

CbDaemon version 4.2.1.41029
