Workload: What happens to devices enrolled into Workload if the integration is disabled?

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Windows Sensor: 3.6 and Higher
  • Carbon Black Cloud Linux Sensor: 2.9 and Higher
  • vSphere Client Console: All Versions
    • Carbon Black plugin

Question

What happens to the sensors when disabing the Workload integration?

Answer

If the need to disable the integration, the devices will not be lost. They will remain as long as the sensors are still deployed on the VMs, and the VMs are active. Then the devices will fall back to whatever default Endpoint policy group and permissions exist within your org.
