App Control: Agent Upgrades Failing with Error "Failed to Download Upgrade Package - Invalid File Format"

Environment

• App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
• App Control Server: All Supported Versions

Symptoms

When upgrading Agents through the Console the following error is seen on the computer details page:

Agent upgrade: Failed to download upgrade package: https://CBSERVER/hostpkg/pkg.php?pkg=/ParityHostAgent.msi. Invalid file format.
This error happened 48 time(s)

Cause

The specified MSI file does not exist at the URL specified.

Resolution

1. Verify the Resource Download Location specified is correct.
2. Verify the files exist in the Resource Download Location (by default this is in \Parity Server\hostpkg\ on the application server). If missing, re-upload the Agent Installer.

Additional Notes

Agent versions prior to 8.1.8 encountered this error when in a Disabled Enforcement.
