Symptoms
- Agent disconnected from the console
- Trace.bt9 file (created in high debugging) shows error: "Server Communication: WinHTTP communication error: 12019”
Cause
Common issue of proxy not allowing the connection
Resolution
Open a CMD executed as administrator and execute the below commands:
cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Agent"
dascli password <your cli or global password without the quotes>
dascli tamperprotect 0
net stop parity
fltmc unload paritydriver
netsh winhttp reset proxy
fltmc load paritydriver
net start parity
dascli status
Additional Notes
In some cases the WinHTTP error 12017 may also be seen
