Objective

How to create a custom Alert in App Control.

Resolution

  1. From the Console, navigate to Tools > Alerts > Add Alert.
  2. Select the desired Alert Type.
  3. Complete the form buy filling out the General, Criteria, Reminder Mail, and Auto Reset fields.
  4. When finished, click Create or Create & Exit.

Additional Notes

  • An Alert must first be created before Subscribers can be specified.
  • Once an Alert is Enabled, it begins monitoring and will trigger when conditions match the configured Criteria.
  • For a detailed description of each Alert setting, see Alert Fields from the User Guide.
  • Use of special characters or matching characters for regular expressions could have unexpected results and should be avoided where possible.
