App Control: How to Mark File(s) as an Installer

Environment

  • App Control Console: All Supported Versions

Objective

To mark file(s) as an installer if they were not automatically done.

Resolution

For a single file:
  1. Navigate to the File Details or File Instance Details page for the hash in question.
  2. Click Mark as Installer in the Actions menu
For multiple files:
  1. Navigate to Assets > Files > Files Catalog (or Files on Computer)
  2. Select the desired files
  3. Click Action > Approve by Policy
  4. Select the desired policy(s) and check the box for "Mark all files as installers"
