App Control: How to Tell If SSL Certificate Is Expiring or Expired

Environment

  • App Control Console: All Supported Versions

Objective

To determine if the SSL Certificate used for Agent Communication is expiring, or has already expired.

Resolution

  1. Using Events in the Console:
    1. Navigate to Reports > Events
    2. Click Show Filters > Add Filter > Subtype > is: "SSL certificate expiring"
    3. Click the "+" icon
    4. Add filter Subtype is "SSL certificate expired"
    5. Click Apply.
    6. Set Max Age to "None"
  2. By viewing the certificate in the Console:
    1. Navigate to System Configuration > Security
    2. Under "Current Server Certificate Details confirm "Expiration Date"
