Environment

App Control Server: 8.10.0.484
SQL Express
Two Tier Installation

Symptoms

App Control fails to install with an error similar to:

There were fatal errors while installing. Installation Failed.

Followed by:

SQL Server 2012 SP3 Native Client was not successfully installed. Carbon Black App Control Server installer cannot continue.

Cause

Issue with the 8.10.0.484 build

Resolution

Manually install the SQL Server Native Client: Download Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012 Native Client - Latest Servicing Release from Official Microsof...
Re-run the App Control Server installation.

Additional Notes

This will be fixed in an upcoming release of 8.10
