Cb Protection: How To Determine Agent Version Locally

Environment

  • Cb Protection Agent: 7.0.0 and higher
  • Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Objective

This article details how to determine the version of a Cb Protection Agent locally on an endpoint.

Resolution

From Programs and Features: 

  1. Open Programs and Features (or Add/Remove Programs on Windows XP/Windows Server 2003). 
  2. The agent will be listed under 'Bit9 Agent' or 'Cb Protection Agent', and the Version column will show the currently installed version (e.g. 7.2.3.3270, 8.0.0.2621).
From Command Line: 
  1. In an elevated Command Prompt, enter:
cd c:\Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Agent\
dascli status
  1. Version Information section will show the current Agent's installed version (e.g. Agent: 8.0.0.2621).
