Managed Detection: Broken Links with ThreatSight emails

Environment

• Managed Detection: Optional Add-on Subscription

Symptoms

• Daily alert emails are appearing with a broken link
• Error Message: "The link image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted. Verify that the link points to the correct file and location."

Cause

• The email client is blocking the image
• A web filter (proxy, etc.) on a network is blocking the URL 
  • To check if the URL is being blocked visit https://secure.carbonblack.com/rs/756-DAV-307/images/Image%20from%20iOS%20%285%29.jpg 

Resolution

• Users may confirm that their email client (e.g. Microsoft Outlook ) is not blocking the image by adding 'threatsight@carbonblack.com' to contacts.
