Workload: How to Add Installation Parameters to the Sensor Install (Carbon Black Cloud Console)

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
    • Workload
  • vSphere Client Console: All Supported Versions
    • Carbon Black plugin 

Objective

To add installation parameters to the sensor

Resolution

Carbon Black Cloud console:
  1. Navigate to Inventory > Workloads
  2. Select the preferred Workload by checking the box.
  3. Click on the "Take Action" button.
  4. Select "Install Sensors".
  5. Choose the preferred sensor version.
  6. Click "Upload File" and upload a file with the desired command line / installation parameters.
  7. Click the "Install" button.
  8. Install Status will then change to "In progress".
vSphere Client Console:
  1. Navigate to Menu > Carbon Black plugin > Inventory > Not Enabled tab
  2. Select endpoint(s)
  3. Click "Enable"
  4. Click "Upload File" and upload a file with the desired command line / installation parameters.
  5. Click the "Install" button.
