Workload: How to Check Details and Status of the Appliance

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions
    • Workload
  • vSphere Client Console: All Versions
    • Carbon Black plugin

Objective

To view the status and informational details of a Workload appliance

Resolution

Carbon Black Cloud Console:
  1. Navigate to Settings > API Access > API Keys
  2. Click the hyperlinked (blue) appliance name. The following details will be shown:
    Appliance:
    Appliance Name
    Appliance ID
    IP
    Version
    Plugin Version
    
    API:
    API Name
    API Key
    
    Health:
    Status (Connected or not)
    vCenter-Connectivty (True or false)
    Last Checkin
vSphere Client Console:
  1. Navigate to Menu > Carbon Black plugin > Summary tab
  2. Some basic health information will be shown.
    • More verbose info can be found after clicking "Go to Appliance" and logging into the appliance itself.
