Environment

Objective

How to install Carbon Black launcher on the guest Linux virtual machines (VM) 

Resolution

  • If using the VMware package repository go to Carbon Black Launcher for Linux VMs, select the VMware Carbon Black Cloud Workload Product Version from the drop down, and follow the instructions provided for the respective Linux Version.
  • If the repository is not being configured go to Alternate Method to Install Launcher on Linux VMs, select the VMware Carbon Black Cloud Workload Product Version from the drop down, and follow the instructions provided for the respective Linux Version.

Additional Notes

  • Run the following command with the root privilege based on the Linux distribution.
  • The actual build number might change. You must replace the build number with the correct available one. For example, replace 16928845 in the cblauncher-1.0.0- 16928845.x86_64 with the available build number.
