App Control: How to manually downgrade Windows agents

Environment

• App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Objective

To downgrade the installed Agent on a Windows endpoint.

Resolution

Currently it is not possible to downgrade an installation, and a full uninstall and reinstall of the Agent will be required.

1. Uninstall the existing Agent.
2. Install the previous version using the Policy Package or the ParityHostAgent.msi file (Unbranded Installer) for the relevant version.

Additional Notes

• The Unbranded Installer can be obtained following these steps.
• Uploading the older Agent Host Package Installer will downgrade the Policy Packages.
